Very often the first player of the Montreal Canadiens to present himself on the skating rink, whether for regular training or an optional session, the little Lane Hutson was the first to embark on the podium to trace the balance sheet of the season, Friday morning, in Brossard.

They were precisely 21 journalists, six cameras and five photographers around him. Meanwhile, they were also about as numerous, on the other side of the locker room, waiting for Christian Dvorak. A real jungle, as is the case every year!

Dvorak showed up 10 minutes later, then he had time to answer all the questions having been asked that the young Hutson was still talking.
Certainly, the 21 -year -old American defender is an exceptional, from all points of view. His meeting with the media lasted 17 minutes.
In the 15th, he was still smiling and joked that David Savard had told him sometimes feeling like a stick that we see at the checkout in the grocery stores, during the playoffs, when his use time was more limited.
A given moment, Chantal Machabée had to intervene, with reason, subtly meaning that Hutson had been quite generous.

“Thank you Lane!” Launched the former journalist, now vice-president, hockey communications, for the Canadian.
Media madness
There may be only the meeting with Captain Nick Suzuki, a little later, who was going to stretch so long to conclude with a … “Thank you Nick!”.

On his own, the Journal de Montréal had four representatives, being accompanied by my valiant colleagues Jonathan Bernier and Dave Lévesque as well as the famous columnist Marc de Foy. After having observed the media fauna a little at the start, I could possibly get my hands in the dough by meeting Alexandre Carrier, Patrik Laine, Samuel Montembeault and Arber Xhekaj, among others.

We do not know if the Canadian will win the Stanley Cup in the close future, but certain, the Montreal club will not be lacking in the media. Phew, it was a big day!

Honorable mention, finishing, to the shoes of defender Kaiden Guhle who hung the eye of our photographer Joël Lemay! It was also a good day at work for the latter.
