By decree n ° 2025-674 dated Saturday May 3, the President of the Republic proceeded to the appointment of Mr. Ahmadou Alhaminou Mohamed LO to the post of Minister to the President of the Republic, responsible for monitoring the management and evaluation of the national transformation agenda “Senegal 2050”, with the rank of Minister of State.
This new strategic responsibility, which is part of the authorities’ desire to strengthen the implementation of the long -term vision of the country’s development, gives Mr. Lo a central role in the coordination of major government orientations by 2050.
Missions with high strategic significance
According to the details provided by the government, the new Minister of State will have the main missions:
- Coordination of strategic management of major projects, programs and reforms, ensuring their alignment with the vision “Senegal 2050”;
- Monitoring, in connection with the Orientation and Strategic Coordination Office (BOCS), of the national strategic diagnosis, in order to regularly adapt the agenda priorities according to economic and social developments. He will also supervise, if necessary, the adjustments necessary for the strategic declination of the vision, and will ensure a continuous evaluation of the socio-economic impact of projects and programs;
- The supervision of institutional communication relating to the agenda, in partnership with the Presidency Communication Services and the Government Information and Communication Office (BIC GOUV);
- Participation in inter -ministerial councils and meetings with technical and financial partners, taking care in particular to pilot the national change of change strategy based on the “Senegal 2050” agenda.
With this appointment, the Head of State confirms his desire to establish a strategic and prospective governance in the conduct of public policies, through a reinforced piloting of the “Senegal 2050” vision.
