In response to the call of the general caliph, the Mourid economic operators have erected six buildings dedicated to Koranic education within the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim (CCAK) complex in Touba. Yesterday, the keys to this achievement were given to Serigne Mountakha Mbacké through Serigne Ahmadou Badawi Mbacké

Touba-At the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim (CCAK) complex in Touba, the constructions are gradually rising. Yesterday, the Mourid economic operators gave the Khalife General the keys to the six buildings of the Koranic Institute of which they had the responsibility.

According to Ibrahima Niang, the architect in charge of the project, the buildings are organized in six separate sections. The first two are intended for the accommodation of teachers, with a capacity of 124 Koranic masters. The following two sections are dedicated to classes, which can accommodate up to 1,300 students. Finally, the last two parts are designed as dormitories for students.

According to Mr. Niang, the work represented an investment of seven billion eight hundred million CFA francs (7,800,000,000) for economic operators. This, in his eyes, underlines the importance of this work within this temple of knowledge.

At the head of Mourid economic operators, Mbaye Sarr stressed that the realization of this project is the result of the commitment of men and women, disciples of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba. He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to all the people who helped to mobilize the resources essential to the construction of these buildings.

In addition, he encouraged the state of Senegal to trust the local workforce. “We want the government to support local businesses working in the construction sector,” he said, stressing that the development of the country must be a priority for its own children. He also urged local businesses to comply with international standards.

On behalf of the caliph, Serigne Ahmadou Badawi Mbacké, the president of the complex praised the remarkable initiative of Mourid economic operators. He stressed that the Holy Quran represents the supreme source of knowledge, which explains the particular importance that the founder of Mouridism gives. “It’s a day of joy,” he said, thanking everyone who contributed to the realization of this project. “The caliph expresses your sincere gratitude to you. You will be rewarded by God, ”he added.

After the ceremony for handing over the keys, which took place at the complex in the presence of Serigne Ahmadou Badawi Mbacké, the Mourid economic operators were received in the afternoon of Saturday by the General Khalife of the Mourides, Serigne Mountakha Mbacké.
