While rains have already been recorded between Friday evening and this Saturday morning in several regions of the country, notably in Kédougou (22 mm), Tambacounda, Kolda and Matam, the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (Anacim) still provides for a few precipitation for the next 24 hours, especially in south-eastern Senegal.
According to forecasts covering the period from Saturday May 3 at 12 noon to Sunday May 4 at the same time, a strong cloud cover persists in this part of the country, with localized rain. The regions of Kédougou, Tambacounda and Kolda therefore remain under meteorological surveillance, with an unstable climate favorable to isolated showers.
Further north, the regions of Kaffrine, Saint-Louis and Podor could experience some fine rains, although the risks are deemed weak. Elsewhere, the sky will remain partially cloudy, without real signs of rainy activity. On the thermal level, the heat will continue to dominate the interior of the country with maximum temperatures oscillating between 36 ° C and 42 ° C, particularly in areas like Bakel, Matam and Linguère.
On the other hand, the coast will benefit from a softer climate, with temperatures generally less than 30 ° C, thus offering a welcome respite for the inhabitants of Dakar, Mbour or Ziguinchor. The winds will be fairly supported along the coast and in the east of the country.
