Available guilty and sentenced to life under the trial of the killing which takes place in the forest of Boffa Bayotte in January 2018, the investigative journalist, René Capain Bassène decided, after the rejection of his appeal in cassation to obtain freedom, to start until « extinction »a black diet.
As a reminder, René had in the past started another diet before being dissuaded by the new bishop of Ziguinchor, Jean Baptiste Valter Manga who visited him at Ziguinchor prison where he is detained after his arrest occurred in the night of January 14 to 15, 2018.
René Capain is to date, the only detainee still maintained in prison in this case. His co -accused obtained for some, a non -place or even a simple relaxation after several years spent in detention.
