One person died and seven others injured after a car struck a crowd on Friday in Stuttgart shortly before 6 p.m., according to local police, who currently favors the accident thesis.
“A car struck a group of people” in the Olgaeck district, in downtown Stuttgart in southern Germany, wrote the police on its X account, adding first that the results were “eight injured, including three serious”.
One of the seriously injured people, a 46 -year -old woman, died a few hours after the hospital after her injuries. The other two are hospitalized.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested, relayed German media without giving more details.

“Based on our current investigations, our colleagues on site think that it is a tragic accident,” said the police, indicating that “there is currently no evidence of an attack or a deliberate act”.
The German security services are under maximum alert statement following several deadly attacks to the ram car in recent months, especially in the cities of Magdeburg (East) and Munich (South).
