The brand surprised everyone with its 450 twin -cylinder, it puts the cover with the 3 cylinder in line 675 cm3, a block built without partnership that we discover on the NK 675 that we obviously compare to the Triumph Block, the English brand specializing in 3 cylinders.

Unfortunately, we took the NK handlebar on a Kart circuit, which are not the best conditions to discover this motorcycle.

A shorter race

This gives at least a first impression of the machine and this 3 -cylinder engine, an architecture that unfolds slowly with the Triumph, the MV Agusta and even the Yamaha CP3 engines, but for the CF Moto, the approach is not the same.

See Moto manufactures the 790 twin -cylinder engine used for KTM and CF Moto 800, but also made the 450 twin -cylinder and now this 3 cylinder online of 675 cm3.

He is not copied to those of Triumph or MV Agusta, he is more square with a shorter race and a more important bore to promote the couple.

Efficient engine and very correct chassis

The 675 of CF Moto is closer to the 660 of the English Trident in terms of performance since it develops 89 horses at 11,000 rpm (9 more than the Triumph) and 68 nm of torque (4 more than the English).

On paper, we are therefore very close to what the brand offers us across the Channel and once on the way, this is also the case for its behavior.

Whatever the regime, the sound is very successful. We find the hoarse sound specific to this architecture. It responds from 2000 rpm and climbs into the towers in a linear way.

Linear engine and a very firm box

It is not explosive like the 3 cylinder of the street triple, but takes tricks easily and always allows a great mastery. It is perfectly exploitable for use on the road on the other hand on this circuit, it brutally cuts as soon as you arrive at the maximum diet.

This should not happen often on the road unlike using the gearbox. Of the 2 motorcycles tried, which were almost new, the selection was very firm.

What does not help is that the shifter only works on the rise. The clutch must be used to descend the reports. These are the two points that are the most annoying while the engine seems very interesting.

Equipment without frills

In the absence of an electronic gas order, it is not possible to have a speed regulator for example, nor a driving mode as on many motorcycles now.

Traction control is adjusted on two levels but not ABS. This small circuit was clearly not its playground. Braking is effective and easy to dose, it was very good on the two motorcycles but this is not the case with the fork, perhaps because of the settings.

The most consistent offered an agile and precise cycle part even if it is not at the level of a sportswoman, it is not any way what we expected. On the other hand, the machine is amazing by the balance it offers and its ease of handling.

And then we have a qualitative dashboard before the eyes with full of information including the pressure and temperature of the tires. We sail in the menus with the left commodo without worry and the levers are adjustable for the little fingers.

Original, efficient and inexpensive

We can therefore put the NK 675 against the Trident 660 but not the street triple much more sharpened and expensive too.

With the CF Moto, it is the guarantee of having a motorcycle with an original design with an effective engine and a very correct chassis. We can regret some things on the equipment but the reception on the handlebars is generally successful.

The 675 with its three -cylinder engine has something to seduce on paper and road, the NK is not as technological as the 800 but it also has the advantage of the price € 6,499 and to be available for A2 permits.
