Mr. Abdelssamad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics, received, at the headquarters of the ministry, Mr. Faisal Akef al-Fayez, president of the Senate of the Hachemite Kingdom of Jordan, accompanied by a high-level delegation. This visit is part of the participation of the Jordanian delegation in the work of the Parliamentary Forum for South-South Cooperation, organized in the Kingdom of Morocco.
This meeting was a conducive opportunity to reaffirm the solidity of fraternal relations uniting the two kingdoms, and to explore the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics. The exchanges focused, among other things, on the possibilities of partnership in the field of rail transport, in particular through the sharing of the Moroccan experience in the implementation of the high -speed train “Al Boraq”. The discussions also discussed the opportunities for technical collaboration in the management of road, maritime and air transport, as well as the means to facilitate logistics interconnection at the service of trade.
During this meeting, the two parties also mentioned the tracks capable of relaunching and intensifying direct air links between the two countries, with the aim of fluidifying the mobility of people, stimulating tourism and consolidating human and cultural ties between Moroccan and Jordanian peoples.
In conclusion, the two delegations stressed the importance of deepening institutional cooperation, promoting synergies between actors in the two countries, and strengthening coordination in the regional and international enclosures concerned, with a view to supporting the objectives of sustainable and united economic integration.
