Trained by Florent Pagny during the program, the trio Il Cello seduced the public with his harmonies and his powerful voices. He became the first group – and the first Belgian – to win the competition.
It was enough for a daring bet of Florent Pagny to write an unprecedented page in the history of The Voice. This Saturday, May 3, the 14th TF1 tele-hook season ended with a double historic victory: for the first time, a group wins … And for the first time, a Belgian won the trophy.
A trio born in the heart of the adventure
Levon Khozian, Sébastien Longhi and Salvatore Livolsi had not registered as a group. During the blind auditions, everyone appeared solo and all three joined the Florent Pagny team.
During the group stage, the coach, upset by their joint interpretation of Nessun Dorma, made an unprecedented decision in the program: bringing them together to form a trio, baptized he cello.
“Three huge voices, three huge singers, all three mix perfectly. The harmonies are nickel”then declared Florent Pagny to justify this unprecedented choice.
A net victory
During this 100 % male final, he Cello faced Gianni, Mega and Mickaël Gallo. All sang solo on a known song and then an original composition, before performing in duet with a guest artist and their respective coach.
The trio thus shared the scene with Lara Fabian and Florent Pagny, marking the evening by an intense and harmonious interpretation. At the end of the public’s vote, he cary won with 49 % of the votes, largely ahead of his competitors.
A Belgian finally sacred
The success of Salvatore Livolsi, brewer by profession from Frameries in Belgium, also marks a first for his country. So far, no Belgian candidate has yet won the French version of The Voice, despite the finals affected by Mentissa Aziza or Antoine Delie.
In tears, Salvatore simply launched a “Merci” moved at the announcement of the victory, while his comrade Sébastien said: “It’s an incredible adventure from start to finish, thank you!”
Projects already on the way?
The trio Il Cello does not intend to stop there. A few minutes after the end of the show, Florent Pagny announced that the group would join him on stage on the occasion of his 65 -year -old tour in 2026. “I even think that I will take them on tour. We could make beautiful paintings all four”said the interpreter of Knowing how to love.
Their new new title, performed during the final, is now available on streaming platforms.
A story of voice … and cello
Why is the name Cello? “It is the instrument that is closest to the human voice”said Levon. A musical metaphor that fits perfectly with the identity of the trio, between vocal power and delicate harmony.
