Winter returned to greet the Ile-de-France for a few minutes. After a sunny parenthesis, a violent and in short storm struck Paris, the Yvelines or the Hauts-de-Seine this Saturday afternoon. A camera installed on a Parisian roof also filmed these 13 minutes of flood on the capital, as we can see in the report at the top of this article. In a few seconds, the region was covered with a fine white coat.
“A huge air mass conflict”
In Paris, as in other departments in the region, heavy rains accompanied by hail have swept through the streets. In the hand of our reporter Romain Goichon, large harsh several centimeters in diameter. Their fall even sparked the anti -theft alarm of a vehicle.
The thunderstorm ended half an hour after erupting. “It’s very hot air that has been set up on France for a few days. Cold air has ambushed from Belgium. We had a huge conflict of air mass, so it brought these particularly violent thunderstorms”explains Daniela Prepeliuc, journalist at the TF1-LCI weather service for the 8 p.m. “In the space of an hour, we lost a dozen degrees”she adds. And indeed, the temperature increased from 27 to 17 ° C in the capital.

The thunderstorms caused a few damage to Paris, evidenced by a car cover permanently marked by hail and filmed by the TF1 teams. A plane tree has also fallen, and immediately debited, in eastern Paris. No victim has been reported.
Several planes had to wait before taking off, but it was mainly metro users who have undergone the wet consequences of this storm. Thus, several people found their feet in the water in certain flooded stations. “I have never seen that in 40 years”admits a man at the microphone of TF1, broom by hand to remove the hail from the sidewalk in front of a restaurant.
