Jamel Debbouze filmed and published on Instagram taking a huge catfish in the Seine, on Saint-Louis Island in Paris.
The story seems almost too incredible to be true. Comedian Jamel Debbouze immortalized fishing with a catfish of more than two meters in the Seine. The scene takes place near his home, on a quay of Île Saint-Louis in Paris. Jamel Debbouze films a fisherman.
“What do you think you caught?” He asked him. “It is a catfish,” replied the man, very concentrated, firmly holding his fishing rod. “Sower, it is bigger me,” he adds.
The man is not just any fisherman, it is the biophysicist Bill François, author of several books on marine fauna. “We will leave it in the water. I do not damage them. I study them, I do a scientific study on these fish,” he explains.
“It is at least 2.10 meters”
Always filmed by Jamel Debbouze, he requests the help of a passer -by, to whom he entrusts a glove, to go and catch the fish, while he always holds the fishing rod.
“First you put a little tape on his head to see if he is tired,” he explains to him. “In my opinion, it is at least 2.10 meters,” says the scientist.
“But it’s incredible,” comments Jamel Debbouze, who observes the man descend into the water to grasp the fish. Once this passing of good will immobilized the catfish, Bill François and Jamel Debbouze rush to take over.
“Paname is a crazy thing,” laughs the humorist by following the scientist. It’s still incredible, “he adds, interacting with onlookers present on the platform.
“Paris is a film”
“We will be able to know how much he grew up compared to last year,” explains Bill François to Jamel Debbouze. “It is a fish that I am, and in general we give them names. This one, if it is one which has no name yet, it will have your name,” he says to the humorist.
“A beautiful meeting, thank you for engraving this moment on video, this report is excellent,” comments on Instagram Bill François.
“Years that we follow the life of these fabulous fish. And we always learn more. Look forward to meeting this giant,” writes the scientist in an Instagram story. He adds that the animal had not yet been named and will therefore now be called “Jamel”.
Many personalities have also reacted, often with emoji laughing to tears. Like Philippe Lacheau, Michael Youn, incredulous, Alex Lutz, Daphné Roulier, obviously a fan of Bill François, or Bérengère Krief, who also notes “but I am on the ground. Everything is good”.
Among the commentators are also Sandrine Kiberlain and Rayane Bensetti or Black M who writes “Paris is magic”. The official account of the city of Paris commented “Paris is a film”.
