The replacement shuttles of the Metropolitan Express Network (REM) will be removed from Monday. REM closures are nevertheless to be expected during the weekend and this summer, where they will have to be set up again.

The bus lines 721 and 568, operated by the Montreal transport company (STM), as well as 722, from the Longueuil transport network (RTL), which pass through the Samuel-de Champlain bridge corridor, will be removed on Monday.

The service has now become stable and efficient again to be withdrawn to be withdrawn, according to the Regional Metropolitan Transport Authority (ARTM).

Since mid-February, these shuttles have guaranteed redundancy in the network, over long periods, to allow users to better plan their journeys, while the REM knew many breakdowns.

The REM nevertheless remains closed in the weekend, to make room for trial periods on its network before the opening of the next stations. A closure of 4 to 8 weeks is also scheduled for this summer.

During these closures, shuttles will be set up again to ensure the different journeys in the absence of the REM.

Removal of shuttles

  • Between the Panama and Central Station stations: shuttle 722 operated by the RTL;
  • Between the Brossard and Central Station Stations: shuttle 721 operated by the STM;
  • Between the Île-des-Sœurs and Central Stations: shuttle 568 operated by the STM.
