This day was inaugurated by the UN on May 3, 1993 in order to ensure “maintaining democratic life”.

The new Canadian Prime Minister wishes to avile media coverage in the country, while funding the coverage of native news more.

“The strengthening of our public broadcaster, CBC/Radio -Canada – which contributes to the unity of our country – is at the heart of this project. The news cover, from Corner Brook to Trois-Rivières, including Whitehorse and Comox, allows Canadians and Canadians to be united in critical moments, “he said.

Mark Carney, who showed elementary French during his electoral campaign, insists on the importance of media coverage in both official languages.

“My new government will protect the reliable public stands of Canada so that we can tell our own stories in our languages,” he said.
