Dutch airline KLM has decided to nail Seven Boeing 787 to the ground, causing the cancellation of at least three flights from Amsterdam airport, said Dutch news agency ANP on Saturday.
“Although there is no risk for security, the seven planes are the subject of accelerated maintenance and will remain soil in the meantime,” said KLM, quoted by the ANP.
The three flights concerned were bound for Mexico City, Chicago and Portland. In total, nearly 650 passengers have been a significant delay due to this problem.
-According to KLM, the problem concerns a component used during fuel supply of the plane.
The company, which is part of the Air France-KLM group, says that it does everything possible to minimize the impact on passengers. “As far as possible, a replacement plane will be deployed. If this is not possible, passengers will be placed on another flight so that they can reach their destination with as few inconveniences as possible, ”said the company according to the ANP.
KLM has a fleet of 228 planes, including 24 Boeing 787, devices mainly used for long -haul flights.
