“For regional natural parks, such a partnership is part of our mediation mission to all audiences, with particular accent to youth” underlines Océane Vincent, communications officer at the PNRDH. “If our behaviors vis-à-vis nature evolve towards greater respect, we owe it to an awareness of the damage that we cause it but also to the daily work of transmission accomplished by mediators, naturalists, ecologists, architects or urban planners. So many professions present in the parks » she continues.
For residents and tourists
It is in this perspective of transmission of knowledge and awareness that this work was built not on regional natural parks but built with them. It is indeed not a tourist guide but indeed a new kind of encyclopedia : “Defense of the environment feeds the curiosity of young readers, invite them to take action and perhaps give birth to some vocations”. Young and old will discover there all the natural richness of a country where the number of animal species approaches 120,000 and that of flower species exceeds 32,000 but also chapters on our diet, production, energy, architecture, town planning … A beautiful immersion which of course goes through the territory of the Doubs Natural Park of Doubs Watchmaker and will invite readers from here or else to discover it.
