Claire Chazal receives two phenomena for this issue of “Au Bonheur des Books”! The young Amber Chalumeau first, which we know as a cultural journalist for the daily magazine, on TMC, and which turns out to be a novelist full of pep’s and talent with her first book, “Les Vivants” (ed. Stock), success-surflise in this print… Emps, which continues to be reprinted. The second guest is a little older, since he is today 50 years old, but he remains an eternal young man, faithful his beginnings, who were also those of an authentic phenomenon of publishing: David Foenkinos experienced a formidable recognition from his first novels and returns today with “Everyone loves Clara” (Ed. Gallimard). The most apparent common point between the books of our two writers is due to their intrigue, since in each of them a young character falls into a coma, and his state serves in a certain way of revealer … Ambre Chalumeau, with a lot of verve and a marked sense of punchline, thus draws up a sort of generational portrait, by telling the life of young people barely coming out of adolescence, with their universal features. David Foenkinos, meanwhile, once again deals with his favorite subject, love, through the fate of her sleeping young heroine, Clara, and her father, who wants to become a writer … In both cases, they are kidnapped and original stories, with a singular form of literary dynamism, which is good.
