True to its commitment to the promotion of arts and culture, the city is proud to announce the acquisition of two new works of art within the framework of its policy of acquiring works of art. This initiative aims to highlight the talent of local and regional artists while enriching the cultural heritage of the city.
At the end of the call for applications launched last October, the works selected to integrate the municipal collection are:
• “Effervescence” of Shirley Rivet: quadrant composition evoking the interactions between water, air, earth and the fire gushing from the center. A work made of acrylic, it captures energy and movement in an explosion of vibrant colors.
• “Creature of the depths” by Vicky Bédard: Abstract art mixing acrylic flow on canvas with the addition of labradorite stones and stones of tiger, giving the work an organic and mineral dimension evoking a mysterious and fascinating world.

These works will be highlighted in municipal spaces in order to offer the population a privileged access to art and to promote an inspiring cultural environment. The city thanks all the artists who submitted their candidacy and invites the population to discover these new acquisitions.
