He hasn’t changed. Or so little. To the delight of fans of Bigdil From TF1, Hervé Budin, 65, alias Ramuncho, agreed to embody his joke and gaffeur character again on RMC Story, but only for one evening, at the request of Vincent Lagaf for the 90s of this Friday, May 2. A role he picked up with greed, but emotion, after having embodied him for five years on television between 1998 and 2003.
“I was skiing when I was asked to come“: Ramuncho remembers his first appearance in The Bigdil
Télé-Loisirs: How had you been recruited for The Bigdil At the time of TF1?
We had the same producer with Vincent Lagaf, Hervé Hubert. I had a one man show at the time, a character show and among these, I embodied Ramuncho. Hervé Hubert found that it would stick well on the show.
You remember your first show of Bigdil ?
Quite ! I was not scheduled that day because I was skiing but I was asked to come and it really happened at the foot raised with stress and excitement. There was all the staff of TF1 on the set. In the end, Gérard Louvin came to see me to say that it was fabulous and that my character was perfect. And afterwards, I went back to ski and I ski even better than before leaving! (laughs)
Are you really a musician originally?
Amateur musician, yes. Me, basically, I am a toubib, I have a doctor’s diploma and I have always made music. It could have been a third life because I always liked it, I had clarinet, trumpet and I was multi-instrumentalist in The Bigdil Because it was funny not to arrive all the time with the same instrument.
We were talking about your medical studies. Have you had the opportunity to exercise this profession?
Of course. I have always done emergency services in hospitals and at some point, I took a sabbatical year to get started on stage Because I also really had that in the blood. When I started as an intern, I was both the day in the hospital and in the evening on the boards, but I quickly realized that it was no longer possible to do both. It was in the midst of excitement of the coffee theater and it worked right away. So I put my medical career in parentheses for a few years. Then, I was an author for the morning of NRJ, for TV shows …
That Ramuncho did after his departure from Bigdil ? “JI helped my wife for five years “
You arrested The Bigdil In 2003, a year before its deletion on TF1. For what reason?
It was a decision on my part because I had gone around my character after five years and I wanted to get out of time to do something else, especially writing. It was done naturally. Afterwards, in 2008, I helped my wife for five years in her pharmacy. I practiced there as a doctor while continuing my artistic activities, such as the publication of a book (The man with bare feetpublished in 2017, editor’s note). When you have this artistic side in the blood, it’s difficult to abandon it! Even today, I am still writing.
What are you doing now?
Right now, I’m in oil painting, I paint but it is in addition to writing, which is necessary to me.
Did you have trouble getting back in the shoes of Ramuncho For the 90s ?
No, I did it instantly. Vincent was surprised because he found the same facial expressions at home as 27 years ago.
“We ended up in a time travel machine“: Ramuncho very moved by his return in The Bigdil sur RMC Story
We feel very moved at the end of your service …
Yes, there have been a lot of emotions. It was also the fact of finding people of the technical staff that I had not seen for years. We ended up in a time travel machine.
Vincent Lagaf entrusted to Télé-Loisirs want to recruit your pianist son for future blind tests of the Bigdil. Should this be delighted?
Yes ! My Roman son is 31 years old and he is a great musician. Vincent contacted it and it connects it well. It would be funny for the loop to be completed like that.
