A beach

Saint-Pierre beach, in Locmariaquer. It overlooks the Atlantic and there is therefore always water, even at low tide, when the Gulf has emptied. The sunsets are beautiful.

A place

Locmariaquer! As a child, I was very proud to live in a place that was quoted twice in the Guinness Records: for the biggest menhir and for the biggest dolmen in the world.

A secret coin

The port of Guilvin, in the Gulf of Morbihan. When the fog settles down there, with its palette of gray and this sweetness that surrounds you, it feels like being elsewhere, as in a bubble. This is even more true at low tide.

Seeing this community dance together at the heart of the night really takes me at the guts!

A party

The fest-noz remains for me a very strong experience. This music close to the trance, this community that dances together, in the heart of the night, it really takes me to the guts. A fest-noz, on a Saturday night in Locoal-Mendon, is really something!

Music

I am fascinated by Denez Prigent’s music. I discovered it at the end of the 1980s, in Lorient, while I was on an internship at the telegram. This alchemy between electronic music and Breton song is both modern and ageless. His album called Me ‘Zalc’h in an u Fulenn Aour marked me a lot.

A book

The Barbarian wedding, by Yann Queffelec. I love his way of talking about a drama while restrained. It seems quite faithful to the Breton soul, this ability to take, to live things sober.

A table

I am passionate about the Breton paintings of Bernard Buffet. I like his paintings with these sharp, a little tortured features. It seems to me that it very well expresses the harsh side of Brittany, the strong personality of its landscapes. Her painting is not sad, she is simply strong!

A dish

The far of my mother, with prunes, cooks in her sandstone dish! I think my sister and I will fight for this dish at the time of our inheritance, because he makes all the difference. There are also the clams stuffed with butter built up from my grandmother, which we were fishing together.

A color

Rose, the color of the sky when the sun has just set on the sea. I have never seen as beautiful as to Locmariaquer, from the port. It lasts a very short time and you feel like you are witnessing a small miracle.

An expression

“Never so much! My grandmother said it to show the surprise. As it looks like, “it is not possible”.
