An impressive hail storm hit Île-de-France this Saturday afternoon, notably the Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine, before falling in Paris shortly after 4 p.m., reports BFMTV.
The images shared on social networks show large hailstones like two euros pieces, which covered the streets, making the floors white in a few minutes.
With pleasure, Versailles or even Chatou, the phenomenon surprised the inhabitants, while the region was placed in yellow vigilance.
Parisian metro stations, especially on lines 2, 3, 6 and 9, had to be partially closed due to floods. The violence of the storm was accentuated by the unusual heat of the previous days, where temperatures were around 30 ° C.
The storm front is now heading for Champagne-Ardenne.
