Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) said, this Saturday, May 3, that one of its naval drones had shot down with a missile a Russian combat aircraft, claiming a world first.
The plane, a sukhoï su-30, was destroyed by a unit of the Gur, the “group 13”, Over the coast of Novorossiisk, a large Russian port on the Black Sea, said the intelligence agency in a message on social networks, this Saturday, May 3.
According to the independent kyiv, to achieve this, the Ukrainian forces would have used The Marin Magura drone.
-Last December, Ukraine also claimed an operation of the same kind when it had shot two Russian helicopters Mi-8 with R-73 Seedragon missiles drawn by A Naval Magura V5 drone.
Images of the attack had been broadcast by the Gur on Youtube and on which we could see A helicopter flying above the water targeted by several projectiles. The device was filmed falling after the attack.
According to the Gur, it was the first time that a naval drone of the Ukrainian navy managed to shoot down an air target.
