C‘is a corner of greenery like Paris sometimes in reserve. An unexpected enclave located in one of the private aisles escaped rue de la Tour in 16e Arrondissement, out of sight. With its white cream walls, its almond green shutters, its zinc roof and its old cobblestones, the property, freshly renovated, is reminiscent of the Balzac house, which was partly inspired by Bertille Dobler, artistic director of Maison Kyka, an innovative brand that accompanies real estate projects in their entirety, from the search for good to decoration through architectural design and the realization of the work.
It is to her that we owe the edifying transformation of this house built between 1850 and 1890, abandoned for decades, including the subclicating state, the convoluted distribution and the fallow garden had finished discouraging potential buyers. “It was not easy to plan, everything had to be redone,” confirms Déborah Cohen, director of the Junot Victor Hugo agency, in charge of the property.
By buying this mansion and betting on giving it a soul, Maison Kyka has clearly changed the situation. Forgotten, recent and disharmonious additions – stairs, windows, roller shutters and layout (the house was divided into apartments since the late 1950s) at the top.
“A unique good”
Bertille Dobler immediately sees the opportunity to instill the spirit of a bourgeois house in the early century in a contemporary version “with a central staircase serving all spaces, ceiling height, moldings, parquet, stone chimneys and a few touches of English countryside,” she details. “The idea was not to bring nature into the house either, but to make it reflect the shades and the country atmosphere of the garden. »»
Thus green stands out as the common thread of the decoration, supported by soft colors, such as beige and mauve, and others more lively as one rises in the floors.

And, finally, stained glass, signed by a specialized craftsman, on the canopy that the two upper levels share.
-The renovation does not forget about the few original elements that have survived the different transformations of the building, such as the roof, the wooden shutters, the main door surmounted by cherubs and, of course, the garden, master of the property, planted with maple, pervenches and euphorbes with endemic species of the Île-de-France region.
Delivered “turnkey”, fully furnished and equipped, this mansion offers a surface area of 283 square meters spread over four levels including ten rooms, including six bedrooms, a kitchen embellished with a winter garden, a studio (which can act as a fitness and/or well-being space), a billiard or tasting room, lingerie and a parking space, to which is added a landscaped garden of 110 meters squares. The whole offered for sale by Junot for 6.8 million euros.
