F1 Miami Grand Prix: live qualification
F1 Miami Grand Prix: live qualification

The day on Saturday started well as part of the Miami Grand Prix, with a completely crazy F1 sprint won by Lando Norris. McLaren F1 has made the great operation of this short race, but the counters are reset for the second part of the weekend!

Indeed, it is the time for the qualifying session, which will determine the order of the starting grid for this Sunday race, which will also take place at 10:00 p.m. and will be followed live on our pages.

The McLaren pilots are again the favorites and Oscar Piastri will want to take revenge after a successful sprint but a certain strategic unluckiness. Max Verstappen will also be revenge after having finished the sprint last, just like Charles Leclerc, who did not even start.

After this sprint which lasted longer than expected and an offbeat departure, the schedule has changed a little. This is why if you only join us, you will benefit from a few more minutes, because the start of the qualification is shifted by 15 minutes and is therefore at 10:15 p.m.!

Note that after the sprint, Oliver Bearman was penalized for a release Unsafe, and he left the point of eighth place to Yuki Tsunoda.

21h47: The rain is not far from Miami International Autodrome, but the qualifying session should be completely dry after a sprint disturbed by the rain.

21H56: Alex Albon received 5s of penalty to the sprint, and since the arrival was under security car, the Williams driver fell eight places. George Russell therefore finished fourth ahead of Lance Stroll, Liam Lawson (who is still under investigation), Yuki Tsunoda and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who scores a point.

21h57: Leclerc had only one reprimand for riding with a damaged car after his accident, and this is his first of the year.

22h02: And Lawson has 5 seconds of penalty turn back! The Racing Bulls driver also leaves the top 8 of the sprint, which is as follows: Norris, Piastri, Hamilton, Russell, Stroll, Tsunoda, Antonelli, Gasly.

22h05 : The details of the judgments concerning the penalties of Albon and Lawson were published by the FIA, and you can consult them here.
