Halm storm: floods in Paris, closed metro stations

Several metro stations had to close their doors in the capital, after lightning floods, linked to a violent hailstorm this Saturday, May 3, 2025. Discover the lines concerned.

After a resplendent week for Parisians, with high temperatures for the start of May, time has quickly thunderstormwhat Samedi May 3 2025. A Violent hailstorm fell on the capital around 4 p.m., with impressive images of hailstones up to 4 centimeters and a few damage, since certain streets found themselves floodedwith a direct impact on a few metro stationsas on lines 9, 3 and 6still closed at 6 p.m.

Victor Hugo station on line 2 has already reopened. During floods, water torrents pour through the metro mouths and take several hours to evacuate. In the capital, temperatures quickly dropped with this stormy episode, losing six degrees in just a few minutes. Ile-de-France remains in yellownew rains could still take place in the evening.
