Leaving to engage on the Estoril challenger in order to reassure himself after a new entry defeat on the Masters 1000 of Madrid, Félix Auger – Aliassime has garnered a new setback heavy with consequences (he falls in the 27e global place), against qualified Andrea Pellegrino (237e) : 7–5, 6–4.

In the post -match interview, the one who accumulates his fifth consecutive defeat, all circuits combined, with no victory on clay since the start of the season, was lost and disappointed, admitting not to understand what is going on at the moment.

“The last two months have been terrible. It was difficult for me (breath). I trained and tried to understand, but I came here because I had not yet won a match on clay. It was therefore a new opportunity to be on a short and to understand what is going on. I mean that today I have lost again, but in the end, being on the court will allow me to know what works and what does not work. I think week after week, what’s going on for me on the field will become clearer. So I take the day today like: ‘OK, now I have a chance to play in Rome and Hamburg before Roland – Garros, and I hope I will play better’. My brain works to find solutions. »»
