The peaceful town of Had Kourt, pearl of the Gharb region, vibrates these days to the rhythm of the third edition of the Moulay El Hassan tournament in basketball.
This event coincides with the 18thth Edition of the City Festival, organized by the Had Kourt Foundation for Culture and Development, mixing Sport, Culture, Art and Fantasia.
The organizers of this national basketball tournament take care to diversify participation and welcome prestigious teams with solid experience in this discipline, as Mohamed El Ouardi, president of the Had Kourt basketball club said.
The latter added that this edition will see the participation, in addition to the Had Kourt organizing club, of the Salé sports association (title holder), the Ittihad de Tangier, AS Far, the Wydad of Casablanca and the Sidi Yahya El Gharb club.
This year’s edition will focus on the category of young people (U19), in order to strengthen competitiveness between players and prepare them to integrate senior teams.
An orientation that Mohamed El Ouardi fully assumes since the revival of the club, by betting on a local base capable of bringing the team forward.
A strategy that is starting to bear fruit, as evidenced by the good results of the youth categories in the regional championship, as well as the training of promising talents.
The president of the Had Kourt Basketball club wanted to salute the support and support that the club receives from the various components of the city: local authorities, municipal council, actors and enthusiasts of sport.
