MLB: the injured pirate supporter woke up in the hospital

The man who fell from the top of a 21 -foot wall on the PNC Park warning track during a match between Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs on Wednesday evening is awakened and alert.

The pirates conducted an internal investigation into the incident, notably by questioning supporters and analyzing the credit card receipts.

Markwood attended the match with three other people according to the team. The credit card receipts indicate that one of the members of the group legally bought seven alcoholic drinks during the match.

Brian Warecki, club vice-president of the club, said the investigation concluded that Markwood had not bought alcohol, but that he had consumed two beers during the match.

The team said they received contradictory testimonies from the supporters who were sitting near Markwood in the section above the wall Clemente.

A supporter told the team that Markwood seemed to be in a state of drunkenness. Others said that he had done nothing in particular until he got up to celebrate a double of Andrew McCutchen. Markwood then risen suddenly from his seat towards the balustrade in front of him before switching over it.
