Always placed, but never promoted for six years, Paris FC has finally validated its ticket for Ligue 1, Friday May 2, 2025, after its draw in Martigues (1-1), combined with that of FC Metz against Rodez (3-3), during the 33rd day. Thanks to this result, Stéphane Gilli’s players are guaranteed to finish second in Ligue 2, behind FC Lorient, who assured him of his Ligue 1 for a week.
For the first time since the 1989-1990 season, two Parisian clubs will thus defend the colors of Paris in the league: Paris FC, therefore, and Paris Saint-Germain.
