Second among the worst NHL teams at 1is December, CH, a club under reconstruction for three years, has managed to qualify in extremis for the series. The Canadian has made a 91 -point season, an increase of 15 points compared to the previous season. Only Colombus teams, Anaheim, Washington and Ottawa have increased more this season.

Among the positive points this season: Lane Hutson has the potential to become a concession player; Nick Suzuki is one of the best centers in the league (it is sixth for points in centers); Samuel Montembeault has proven that he can lead a team in series (it is 5e League guardian for the number of goals saved compared to the average, according to MoneyPuck); The group has never abandoned despite the obstacles.

Of course, it would have been fantastic to beat Washington’s capital in the first round of series, which obtained 20 points more than CH this season. But Samuel Montembeault’s injury during the third match wiped a miracle chance. Too bad also that the NHL is so poorly arbitrated and tolerates vicious blows, which tarnishes such a beautiful sport.

Thank you to the players for allowing us to live the atmosphere of the series, even briefly. In the middle of a trade war, they allowed us to forget our problems a little bit.
