It is a new badge to go down at the end of the championship. The LFP announced, in early April, awarding a trophy at the best dribbler of the season in Ligue 1. This Friday, May 2, the body unveiled the nominees. And among the three players, PSG and OL were honored.
Without difficulty, they put the French defenses in difficulty. But only one will be recognized and crowned as “Best Ligue 1 dribbler”. This season, the Professional Football League has announced that it wanted to award a new trophy to highlight the style of play of one of the players named. And the body highlighted two Ligue 1 clubs: Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais.
Among the Parisians, the top scorer in Ligue 1, Ousmane Dembélé is one of the designated, as well as the desired revelation. On the Lyon side, only one name stands out: Rayan Cherki, without much surprise.
The public can already vote
The identity of the winner will be known on May 15 but Internet users can already vote for their favorite. As a reminder, Eden Hazard, former LOSC and Real Madrid player will be the ambassador for this first edition as “Football Virtuoso”.
The vote will be made “by a group of experts” (ex-players/ coaches/ journalists/ personalities etc) but also with the participation of the public therefore. The LFP is already rewarding the best “scorter” since the 2023-24 season and the best decisive passer since this season.
