Rivesaltes (2nd hen 7) – RCBB (3rd hen 9)
RC Bon-enContre/Boé
The group: Manoromin, Pottier, Morlay, Gasc, Lapoujade, Chapel, Barrau, Antoine Lachaud, Patusso,
First leg 37-36. Lieu Rivesaltes (François-Delcamp stadium). Arbitrator Maxime Alibert (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes). Hourly This Sunday at 3 p.m.
During the first leg at the Lajunie stadium, the Bon-Encontrais expected a big confrontation but they were surprised during the first period by collecting three processed trials and the trifle of four penalties.
Led 9-33 at the break, who could have said that they were going to be able to overthrow the situation? However, their supporters have always been there to support and encourage them.
Apparently less athletic than their Catalan adversaries, it was the forwards of the RCBB who won the fight for conquest and concretization. In the second half, the Estephano Manoromina pillar and the hooker Charly Morlay scored two trials each by valuing the motivation and the spirit of the group.
Replacements at the level
“Last Sunday, you should not go at halftime since the success arrived afterwards,” recalls Nicolas Deltour, coach of the RCBB with Julien Gracia. At the start of the match, we were surprised by the aggressiveness of the Catalans and we were sanctioned in particular in melee. But it was above all the three tests conceded, including two on counters, which hurt our heads. Then we became dangerous because we had nothing to lose. The public followed us and we won at the end of the end, but that’s it, the final stages. Nothing to do with group matches. We had already started using them at the end of the first period and then it was our replacements who overthrew the situation. Our opponents took boxes and their replacements did not understand anything that was going on. We do not know how it will go to Rivesaltes but the players are motivated and we will do everything to continue the adventure. »»
No wounded or suspended, so Nicolas Deltour and Julien Gracia will align the same group in Rivesaltes around Captain Sylvain de Nadaï while the reservists of Laurent Gilbert and Lucas Bassi will go to Beaumont-de-Lomagne at 3 p.m. to face Tournefeuille in 16e final of excellence B.
