The Toulon Rugby Club (RCT) is on the way to strengthen its technical supervision with the extension of Andrea Masi, coach in charge of the attack. The former Italian international, who joined the club in 2023, should stay within the team for two additional seasons.
Fruitful collaboration
Andrea Masi, 44, was able to quickly impose himself as a key figure in the Toulon staff. His arrival coincided with a notable evolution of the team’s offensive game, which has seen its performance improve thanks to better ball circulation and more efficient gaming launches.
Internal returns are generally positive regarding its approach, in particular with regard to the development of players, particularly in the three-quarter line. The progress made under its direction have strengthened the club’s confidence in its coach capacities.

Masi, a former center and rear, has an impressive international track record with 95 selections for Squadra Azzurra, including four participations in the World Cup. His course in rugby led him to play in prestigious clubs such as Biarritz, Racing 92 and Wasps.
-Before embarking on a coach career, Masi has acquired experience in coaching in the United Kingdom, which allowed him to develop an enriching vision of the game.
Imminent extension
Andrea Masi’s extension should be formalized in the coming days by RCT leaders. This decision also puts an end to rumors binding it to the Italian selection, currently directed by the former Argentinian international Gonzalo Quesada.
By consolidating his technical staff, Toulon displays his desire to continue to progress and to aim for the summits of French rugby in the coming seasons.
