Since its beginnings in the yellow and black jersey from the age of 6, “Juju” will have marked the Montois club for various reasons, after 27 seasons including 15 among professionals. Leader of unparalleled men, he imposed himself as a formidable competitor – like his father, or his brothers Roman coaches and Nicolas -, with sporting and human qualities recognized by all. He had farewell to professionalism one evening in May 2023 at the Boniface stadium, with his two daughters in his arms, for what was to be the end of his player career. “See new things”
“During the summer, it was weird, a lot of clubs in the area solicited me,” smiled Julien Cabannes. I was still in good shape, so I accepted Hagetmau’s proposal. I got closer to mine. In parallel, I joined a commercial structure in the sale of heavy goods vehicles, a path that I had decided before leaving professionalism. During his last pro season, in 2022-2023, the winger had taken his first steps within the commercial service, which convinced him definitively. But with his lifelong club, the roads were going to separate. An additional opposite. “I wanted to do my hole, see new things.”
-This new step pleases him – “it requires requirement in a very technical environment” – and the long trips of Pro D2 do not miss. Unlike the field.
