Federal rugby 3 – Guillaume Chevrot, the most Montcellian of the RCMB

Chevrot a well -known name in the Montcellian region. A purely local name. But Guillaume Chevrot is also a name that emerges within the RCMB. A full -fledged holder of the XV “Red and White” among the oldest of the club who, on Sunday, with his teammates, hopes to validate the victory against Beaurepaire in the return match of the 32nd finals. Meeting with the three-quarter of the RCMB.

Tell us a bit about you, your debut in sport.

“Like many, I started with football then I joined my friends in rugby in 1999 at the Montceau club. I made two seasons at Creusot when there were no more seniors in Montceau. It’s my 26th season at the RCMB ”.

Have you always played in the center?

“I started at the post of winger when I was sharpened and even played in 2nd line during a selection. When the club left, I played in 10, hence my technical palette. I remember having troubled the post of 3th Line center in a match against St Etienne in the 32nd finals. I send the message to my coaches for Sunday ”.

What are the differences between the position in the center and the wing?

“Already, I can tell you that it is not speed but I will say that you have to have a good passage technique as well as a good vision of the game and obviously be good defensively. The position of winger is run by players that are both fast and dynamic ”.

You are 13 points ahead before the return to Beaurepaire. Regrets not having sunk the point home?

“I took the time at the start of the week to watch our match. It’s very interesting to have a camera to step back on our performance. Personally, I find that we have made a good performance in front of our supporters. But necessarily a few regrets not having broken the nail, some faults that led us to be inferior. We will correct the shot. We must be more disciplined. But we were able to hold the score thanks to a solid and united group but also with our 23th Man who is always present at home as well as outside. It is a real force ”.

Is the RCMB to go even further?

“I hope to go as far as possible, get 16emes final and have fun ”.

How do you think you are annoying the Isérois on Sunday?

“You will have to be solid ahead as in the first leg, to be more disciplined and to have a big defense. And then it will be up to them to produce the game ”.

Do you suffer from competition?

“Competition is a good thing. It pushes me, even at 37, to give me full to show the example of the youngest ”.

And then, what do you plan to do?

“I will continue to come and support the friends and why not train but that, we will have to see with Madame”.

Will supporters be an asset on Sunday in Beaurepaire?

“First, I would like to thank all the volunteers, the supporters but also our families who are always there on Sunday both in Jean Bouveri and outside. We will do everything to make them proud and to continue to find them an occupation on Sunday ”.
