When Nathan Mackinnon doubled the advance of the Colorado avalanche at the start of the third period, it was believed that it was made of Dallas stars.

Rantanen finished the series with a harvest of five goals and 12 points against his former team. Recall that he was involved twice in monster transactions this season, first passing to the Hurricanes of Caroline before taking the way to Texas.
