An anthology match: the avalanche put K.-O. by Rantanen

When Nathan Mackinnon doubled the advance of the Colorado avalanche at the start of the third period, it was believed that it was made of Dallas stars.

However, it was not necessary to count a training led by Peter Deboer for battered. Especially when it counts in its ranks Mikko Rantanen.

The stars scored four times in the third twenty, three of which were scored by the former avalanche, to win the number seven match of this series of the conference final and thus go to the next round.

Deboer thus retains his immaculate sheet during an ultimate meeting. The stars head coach has still not lost on nine occasions in a seventh game since he found himself behind the bench of a team from the National Hockey League (NHL).

Rantanen first gave life to his team in the middle of the period by thwarting Mackenzie Blackwood from a distance. He reoffended a few minutes later by taking advantage of a gift from Quebec defender Samuel Girard who unfortunately had the puck behind his goalkeeper trying to block the turnstile of his opponent.

Wyatt Johnston then sowed the euphoria in the American Airline Center by breaking the equality of 2 to 2 by touching the target on the power game. Rantanen then completed his hat round in a deserted net in the last seconds of the match.

The avalanche had however taken an advance of 2 to 0 at the start of the third thanks to Mackinnon who already scored his seventh goal in the series. Josh Manson had resulted in the impasse during the median period by marking during a numerical inferiority.

Rantanen finished the series with a harvest of five goals and 12 points against his former team. Recall that he was involved twice in monster transactions this season, first passing to the Hurricanes of Caroline before taking the way to Texas.

The stars will now have an appointment with the winners of the series between the Winnipeg jets and the Blues of Saint-Louis who will also end in a number seven. This meeting will be presented on Sunday at 6 p.m. on TVA Sports.
