US dollar exchange rate today in the world
The US dollar dropped during the last negotiation session, after data has shown that the largest economy in the world has created more new jobs than expected last month, reflecting a stable labor market.
The greenback progressed against the Euro and Yen last week, thanks to the optimism aroused by the prospect of seeing the United States reaching pricing agreements with several business partners, including China.

At the same time, the employment report has strengthened the expectations that the American Federal Reserve (Fed) will maintain its unchanged interest rates during the next meetings and will not reduce them before the summer.
American data showed that non -agricultural jobs increased by 177,000 jobs last month after a revised increase of 185,000 in March. The economists interviewed by Reuters provided approximately 130,000 new jobs in April, after a previous report had shown that 228,000 new jobs had been created in March.
Economists expect employment growth in the coming months, given the benefits of customs prices.
“Today’s employment report could allow the Fed to adopt a more cautious and more patient approach in terms of lower rates this year,” Jason Pride, director of research and investment strategy at Glenmede in Philadelphia, said.
“Faced with the risk of stagflation (high inflation and simultaneous recession) linked to customs duties, the Fed is trying to assess in real time if stagflation or inflation is the most important risk for American economic prospects. The stability of the labor market could reassure the Fed as to the fact that the economy has not yet reached its low point, which gives it more time to assess the impact of customs duties on inflation, “he added.
In addition to the employment report, customs tariffs remain a major concern for investors.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Fox News on May 1 that Discussions with China would take place soon. His comments follow a report from the Chinese state media considered as a signal indicating that Beijing was open to commercial negotiations. Beijing “assesses” an offer from the Washington administration to organize negotiations on customs tariffs, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on May 2.
At the same time, Japanese Minister of Finance, Katsunobu Kato, said Japan could use its more than $ 1,000 billion in US Treasury bonds as a lever in trade negotiations with Washington.
The dollar reduced certain losses against the Japanese Yen after the job report, ending the session down 0.3% to 145.05 yen, but was in the process of winning for a second consecutive week.
Meanwhile, the euro reduced its gains against the greenback, still exchanging up to $ 1,1326, up 0.3 %. However, over the week, the euro has dropped 0.5%, its highest weekly decrease since mid-March.
The Sterling book has remained unchanged against the dollar at $ 1.3,280, but fell 0.3 % over the week, its highest weekly decrease since the end of February.
Following employment data, the US interest rate markets reduced the size of the drop in levels to 80 basic points, or approximately three rate drops of 25 basis points each.
