During the weeks and months spent, the lawn of the King Baudouin stadium was debated. What will be for the final of the Cup Sunday between the RSC Anderlecht and the Bruges club?
The King Baudouin stadium has been widely criticized in recent months. This season, the meetings disputed by the Union Saint-Gilloise in Heysel gave a very sad image of our football.
So when the Red Devils played in Genk in a fire atmosphere for the return match against Ukraine, it is a real anti-stadium campaign King Baudouin that was launched.
-Pierre Clamdirector in the sports service of the city of Brussels, did not hide it at the microphone of Bruzz: “The last renovation of the King Baudouin stadium dates from 25 years ago. He no longer meets the current standards of a modern football stadium,” he said.
In recent months, however, maintenance work has been carried out, also at the lawn, so that the stadium is ready for the deadlines that arrive. Among these deadlines, the devils’ match against Wales but also, this Sunday, the Cup final.
“It cost us around 10,000 euros per month to maintain the lawn. Our team worked there almost every day for 2 to 3 hours,” said Clam at Sporza. “It could rain in the afternoon, but everything is under control. The land will be in good condition.”
