A collision between a tourist minibus and a pick-up left seven dead near Yellowstone National Park in the northwest of the United States, police announced on Friday. The accident took place Thursday evening near Lake Henrys in Idaho. The bus was carrying 14 people.
“Unfortunately, six people aboard the minibus, as well as the driver of the pick-up, lost their lives in the accident,” the state police said in a statement.

The images broadcast by local media show a strongly damaged red car and a minibus on fire. Some victims were transported to the hospital by helicopter, “due to the severity of their injuries,” said the police.

According to residents cited by the media, the road to a single route where the drama took place is generally very frequented, because it leads to one of the entrances to Yellowstone National Park.
