After putting his career in parentheses for three years, the singer unveiled the first piece of his next album on Friday, Still loving You.
Florent Pagny loudly claims his desire to live, sing and love. This Friday, May 2 at midnight, he signed his musical return with Still loving Youhis first new title since his fight against lung cancer. A love song, of course, but above all a cry of life, a testimony of hope, signed by his accomplice of “The Voice”, Vianney.
“I want tears and pain, I want doubts. I want to live again to cost me “sing the 63 -year -old singer from the first notes, on a piano melody. The song, written, composed and produced by Vianney, evokes in half the illness but especially love, the one he carries to his wife Azucena, thirty-year-old companion and mother of their two children, Inca and Aël. The refrain resonates as a promise: “I want to love you again / that she expects, death”.

This single is the first stone of a 21e Studio album announced for the start of the school year, 35 years after Mercihis first disc. Florent Pagny had gradually returned to the scene in 2023 during a summer tour, before finding his coach chair in the show “The Voice” this season. He notably shares the plateau with Vianney, whose role in this return is as symbolic as it is an artistic: ten years after having assured his first parts, the young songwriter now delivers to his mentor one of his most powerful texts.
The horizon also clears up for fans: Florent Pagny announced in December 2024 a big tour for 2026, a way of celebrating his 65th anniversary on stage after having had to give up that supposed to celebrate his 60th anniversary. Among the highlights, an exceptional series of twenty concerts at Olympia, between June 16 and July 19. A meeting with the public, like revenge on fate.
