Pathé Films announces that the extended version of the film with Pierre Niney will be screened on April 11, 2026 at the Paris Congress Palace. The music of the feature film will be played live by an orchestra.
After having won over the hearts of more than 9 million spectators in France, The Comte de Monte-Cristo will come back in a version (a little more) long to the cinema in 2026. This is what Pathé films said on Wednesday April 30 on his social networks. Containing an additional ten minutes, the expanse version of the feature film will be broadcast in preview, on April 11, 2026 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. The ticket office is already open.
Adapted for the occasion in cine-concert, the soundtrack of the film signed Jérôme Robotier will be played by 80 musicians from the Yellow Socks Orchestra. The film team, made up in particular of actor Pierre Niney and the directors Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière, will be present during this special session. For the moment, we do not yet know if the long version will be broadcast in other cinemas.

Three new adaptations of the novel
Alexandre Dumas’ novel continues to inspire the directors. The adventures of the character Edmond Dantès are currently adapted in series by the Danish director Bille August (Shovel the conqueror, The best intentions). The hero will be embodied by Sam Clafin (Pirates of the Caribbean, Hunger Games), while the rest of the cast is made up of Jeremy Irons (Lolita) and Ana Girardot (The house, two me). The series was projected in preview during the closing ceremony of the Caneseries festival on April 29. It should then be broadcast on France Télévisions.
An American version of Comte de Monte-Cristo is also in preparation with, probably, René-Jean Page (The Chronicle of Brigerton) in the title role. Finally, according to an article in Parisianthe title will be available in musical spectacle. Worn by Stanley Kassa (The miserable) It will be played at Folies-Bergère from February 5, 2026.
