MXGP: Operation in sight for Tim Gajser?

MXGP: Operation in sight for Tim Gajser?
MXGP: Operation in sight for Tim Gajser?

If you followed the news of the week, you first had confirmation that Tim Gajser would be present in Portugal before the HRC press release said on Thursday. Tim will not defend his red plaque in Agueda, and we may not see him again on track unfortunately!

Teams and pilots have happened the word this year not to talk about their worries and their miseries! To tell the truth, it even started last season, KTM as Jeffrey Herlings having said nothing after the Dutch man made the crusaders in a national race, after the MX of Nations. In the process, the Austrians like Lucas Coenen never mentioned his wrist injury which occurred shortly before the GP of Argentina, and we can still cite the case of Maxime Renaux which has remained discreet on his finger fracture. Why this silence? In order not to give signs of weakness vis-à-vis their rivals, and also and above all so as not to attract the attention of doctors too much-there is that of the FIM and that of the test itself-which on each GP bring a test to the pilots who are back from injury, and validate or not their participation in the test

Tim and his shoulder

In the case of TIM, the HRC and pilot strategy were identical two weeks ago, namely that Honda said nothing about the nature of her injury in the press release released on the evening of the Swiss GP when on her social networks Tim did not say more. On the spot, everyone knew in the paddock that Tim had dislocated his shoulder, which could not be put back in place until late insofar as the rescuers had not been able to evacuate it during the MXGP Channel. This Timpel on Tuesday confirmed on social networks that he would be present in Portugal, before a retropedaling in good standing 48 hours later with a press release from the HRC announcing the package of the world leader. If there is no other clarification in this press release, according to our information – to take of course in the conditional as long as Tim or Honda has not communicated – Tim would have releasing the shoulder again by taking up the handlebars of its motorcycle to validate its participation in the Grand Prix. In all likelihood, he will have to go through the operation box, which would destroy his chances this season. Such an operation indeed leads to an unavailability of two to three months. Case to follow of course in the days to come, as soon as Honda and/or Tim will give more details on the evolution of its injury.
