The 10th edition of the Biennale Altitudes will take place from June 6 to 29 as part of the former Chartreuse of Part-Dieu, on the Hauts de Bulle (FR). The event will extend over four weekends, with around thirty multidisciplinary projects and 100 cultural speakers.

Friborg and beyond

The approach still includes a culture of short circuits by giving the artists of the canton of Friborg, French -speaking Switzerland and German Swiss, while keeping a precious window open to the world. “Talks”, guided tours and other small events complete the programming.

The field of visual arts is particularly highlighted, with various plastic artists (drawing, photography, painting, sculpture, ceramics). These combine traditional practices, high technology such as mapping, music or recitation in the form of installations, exhibitions or performance.

Arts of the scene

With a dance creation entitled Seuil by the Cie us and me, a performance – procession – by the collective lakes and two literary trips with Sylvianne Tille, Céline Cesa, Amélie Chérubin Soulères, Olivier Havran and Gael Kyriakidis, the scene arts are also present at altitudes.

The musical programming is also rich, with in particular a creation imagined by the Trio Florian Favre, Cyrille Pürro and Goodbye Ivan entitled Persephonic. This project is converging jazz, current music and classical music. Finally, three projects will revolve around the horn of the Alps and horns.
