After two shows hosted with enthusiasm in the town of Saint-Jean-du-Falga, the company “It’s us productions” returns to the Aragon room with a new artistic proposal full of humor and depth. Entitled be exotic !, The play, written by Badradine Reguig and Laurent Gil, directed by Cécile Jaquemet, promises to be a significant event in the cultural season.
The story opens in a Parisian office, where a show producer, convinced of his clairvoyance, lets go to the main actor this injunction that is both absurd and revealing: “Be exotic coco!”. From this sentence, the actor draws the raw material from a singular spectacle, both funny, biting and deeply human. Far from the expected shots, he chooses to tell his neighborhood, his parents, his neighbors, his daily life, with tenderness and a saving derision.
Alone on stage, Badradine in turn embodies the multiple figures that have gone through his life, in a performance full of rhythm and emotion. Through this autofictional account, he poses a sharp look at identity assignments, while inviting the public to think about the way our representations are built. The show avoids moralizing speeches and favors humor as a tool for disarmament and sharing.
The performance will take place on Saturday May 10 at 9 p.m. in the Aragon room. The opening of the doors is scheduled at 7:30 p.m., with a refreshment bar and a restoration offer on site.
