He settled down in 2013 in the Royal and Military College of Thiron-Gardais (Eure-et-Loir). Stéphane Bern, a media TV animator, fell in love with this building backed by the village abbey. In addition to the history of the site, the French garden had attracted the fervent defender of the heritage. “What makes the college particularity is to have gardens that formerly belonged to André Guillaumin, who was a recognized botanist. This garden was his passion, I simply try to perpetuate what my predecessor does ”promises Stéphane Bern.

For more than ten years, Stéphane Bern has enjoyed the cozy setting of the building of 1630. As soon as time allows, the host spends his time outside at the foot of the giant sequoia in the courtyard but also with these roses.

It was Louis Benech who restored the garden of the Royal and Military College. The in charge of the Heritage Mission admits that it does not too much have a green hand: “It’s my only home. I am there as often as possible. Between two filming, I need this breathing. I like to walk in the gardens. I happened to plant roses and two three other things in my garden, but I am above all lucky to have people who are dealing with it because I lack time. And as you know, you have to listen to your garden. »»
