Isack Hadjar continues to make an impression in the Red Bull clan. His accident even before the departure of the Australian GP had earned him the wrath of Helmut Marko, who had not appreciated his tears, but the adviser to Red Bull quickly drew up the praises of the French.

From the GP of China, Marko judged Hadjar “Even more impressive” that Yuki Tsunoda and Bahrain, he recognized that his performances were a “grosse surprise” For the Red Bull clan. The Racing Bulls pilot, which especially distinguished itself with its eighth place behind the Top Teams pilots in Suzuka, also attracted Christian Horner.

“I think he has exceeded all our expectations”commented the boss of the Red Bull team, interviewed by Sky Sports F1. “He is really impressive for the moment this season, especially on the slopes on which he has never rolled. He has very little driving in an F1. He is like a fish in the water so it has been very impressive so far.”

“It is very effective”added Horner, amazed by the new generation that arrives in the championship: “I think that these young people arriving, we see that they are simply ready to adapt to a Formula 1 and they are very confident, they have lots of energy. And Isack had a brilliant piloting, in my opinion, on almost brand new circuits for him.”

Tsunoda takes little little marks

Horner’s words are an encouraging sign for the future of Hadjar in the Red Bull galaxy but no place is free in the main team for the moment. Tsunoda, promoted from the GP of China, is gradually taking its marks and Horner is satisfied with his work.

“I think he just needs more time driving, to get used to the technique, to the fan whose team works, etc. I think he is doing a good job. And he has brought really positive energy to the team. He is a character. He also offers a useful return of information, which gives a good direction.”

Tsunoda’s experience allows him to “Understand how it works” According to Horner, and also to avoid taking too much Max Verstappen in reference: “What I noticed with him is that he is not obsessed with what Max does. He just focuses on his own settings with his engineer, without trying to count what is happening on the other side of the garage, which I think is the right approach.”
