Fernando Alonso hopes to take advantage of his experience and his knowledge of the Miami circuit to be quickly in the rhythm, especially for the sprint. The Aston Martin F1 driver thinks that beginners on this circuit, six this year, will have more difficulties.
“Miami is one of the best great prices, if not the best. The infrastructure, the paddock, the circuit, it raises the level for everyone. It will be a difficult weekend in terms of competitiveness. The sprint may help us on Friday, we will try to prepare and do our best” Alonso said.
“The Sprint weekend is an opportunity for us, we know circuits and there are rookies so we will try to maximize it. But Miami has been a difficult weekend for us in recent years so we could be in trouble, but we stay positive and we will try to do the best.”
Lance Stroll is satisfied to be in Miami, even if it is frustrated by the difficulties of Aston Martin at the start of the season: “So far everything is fine. It’s always great to return to Miami, there is sun, we spend time on the beach, so everything is fine.”
“I think we are in a difficult situation, we are not where we would like to be or at the level where we would like to be in relation to our rivals. It will be difficult to score points this weekend but we will try to do the best.”
