The Pyrénées-Atlantiques were in yellow vigilance “thunderstorms” this Saturday, and the forecasts of Météo-France turned out to be correct: several thunderstorms broke out, accompanied by hail.
In their all -morning bulletin, firefighters relate 26 intervention with “numerous impacted roofs” on the Bedeille, Morlaàs, Lombia and Saubole sectors, with operations that can continue this Sunday morning, the rain not having made things easy on Saturday evening.
This Friday, lightning fell on a house on the Basque coast, in Bidart: the three occupants were able to get out of it, unscathed, before the arrival of help.
Météo-France has placed the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, like about three-quarters of France, in Yellow vigilance “thunderstorms” this Sunday, from 10 am.
A new stormy episode is expected in the afternoon until the evening in Béarn.
