The cycling school of the Cycling Union Mamers Neufchâtel (UCMN), organizes Sunday May 4, 2025, a race open to children from 7 to 17 years old at Vezot (Sarthe).

A race in tribute to two volunteers

“We organize cycling races entitled Marie and Adolphe Besnardthey take the roads of our two faithful volunteers who died in 2006 and at the end of 2024, present in the early hours of our cycling club ”, explains Vincent Besnardsecretary.

The first races will start at 1 p.m., on a small 1.7 km circuit intended for the U7 and U9 to be covered on a tower, then the U11 and U13 will have to cover this circuit on 3 and 6 laps respectively.

The following race is reserved for U15 runners (12-13 years old) which will have to travel 32 km, around the town via Saosnes and Panon.

We can note in this category the presence of Evan Plouhinec (Brette Sportif), winner several times this season and son of the former professional and world champion Samuel Plouhinec. Will also be present in this category our local runner Lucas Diszti, who can legitimately target the podium on a circuit he knows perfectly.

In the last race reserved for U17 runners (14-15 years), runners will have to travel 64 km, on the same circuit as the U15.

“The runner Mathias Diszti is able to win this event, he will have to face the Sarthois and Norman runners who came to neighbors. Several representatives of the Committee of Brittany will also be monitored on this circuit which turns out to be using and exposed to the wind, ”underlines Vincent Besnard.
