The Slovenian cyclist, dazzling during the spring classics, will be the big favorite of the next big loop, which rushes on July 5 from Lille.

He considers it as the cycling equivalent of Lionel Messi. Juan Ayuso, a young Spanish talent for the UAE Team Emirates (22) team, recently expressed his admiration for his teammate Tadej Pogacar. An interview in which Ayuso claims to dream, too, of winning big races like the Tour de France, and does not denute the Slocene, already a triple winner of the Tour de France at 26 years old. “My dream is to become the best runner in the world, to be like him one day. Juan Ayuso could not always support Pogacar during the major tests, as at the Tour de France 2024, during which the Spaniard was absent. “Not being able to support him during the Tour was difficult, but we talked about it, and he understood,” he said. “If someone else is better, you help it. It pushes everyone to rise to the next level,” he explains.
