The Pont-de-Beauvoisin gendarmerie brigade intervened at 4:25 p.m. on Friday, at the home of this 56-year-old woman, a lifeless discovery at her home by her 22-year-old son.
The 59 -year -old victim’s spouse, with whom she had been in the process of divorce since 2023, had been arrested at crime. “Suspected of having strangled the victim, he had been placed in police custody immediately by the chief of murder by spouse,” wrote in a statement, the assistant prosecutor of Grenoble.
No complaints for violence within the couple had been reported before these facts. The couple was so far unknown to the police or gendarmerie services, and was not subject to any particular follow -up.

“Given the exclusive jurisdiction of the Grenoble instruction center for the offense chosen, the Bourgoin-Jallieu prosecutor’s office died on May 4, 2025 for the benefit of the Grenoble prosecutor’s office which opened a judicial information in the same afternoon,” said the press release.
Presented to the Grenoble investigating judge at the end of his police custody, the suspect was indicted of the chief of murder by a person being spouse of the victim and then placed in pre -trial detention.
The investigations will now continue within the framework of this judicial information.
